To make a Russian noun plural, change the ending:

| книга (book) | книги | -а → -ы, but after г,к,х → -и |
| неделя (week) | недели | -я → -и |
| окно (window) | окна | -о → -а |

| ночь (night) | ночи | -ь → -и (feminine) |
| день (day) | дни | -ь → -и (masculine, mobile vowel) |
Note: stress can shift in the plural. E.g., окно → окна (stress moves to first syllable).
